About Us

After years working in the field for a variety of both private and public service providers, we recognize the need for better ABA that puts your child first.

At Blue Spark we are passionate about applying advances within the field of Behaviour Analysis to ensure progressive, high-quality intervention that is tailored to each learner’s individual needs and circumstances.

We are committed to working collaboratively with other fields to provide balanced, well-rounded programs that meet all your child’s needs.

Our team consists of Board Certified Behaviour Analysts® (BCBAs®), Board Certified assistant Behaviour Analysts® (BCaBAs®), behaviour technicians, Speech-Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists.

ABA Therapy

Our Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA Therapy) services are offered at our centre, in homes, and at daycares and schools. During these trying times, teletherapy services may also be an option depending on your child and circumstances.

All ABA therapy services are overseen by a team of Board Certified Behaviour Analysts® (BCBAs®) and Board Certified assistant Behaviour Analysts® (BCaBAs®) to ensure the highest quality of service.

What is ABA

Applied Behaviour Analysis, or ABA, is the science of applying principles of learning to change behaviour. ABA focuses on using a variety approaches to teach adaptive behaviours and to reduce interfering or problematic behaviours by replacing them with safer, more functional alternatives.

The goal of an ABA program is not to change the learner in any way, but to help teach them skills they need to reach their full potential and be happy.

Our approach to ABA focuses on gaining learner cooperation so your child is an actively engaged willing participant who enjoys playing and learning together. We use the principles of behaviour analysis combined with Skinner’s analysis of Verbal Behaviour (VB) to ensure teaching is not only relevant but also fun and motivating for your child.

We believe that, just as each child is a unique individual, so should each ABA program be unique. Each program is highly individualized to meet your child’s specific needs while taking your goals and values as a family into consideration.

How ABA Can Help

ABA can be applied to help teach a wide range of skills and address a variety of behaviours. Some areas of focus within ABA programs include:

  • Speech and language development
