Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) & Intensive Behavior Intervention (IBI)

Blue Spark offers individualized ABA-based therapy Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI and IBI) a treatment program for children on the Autism spectrum, which is based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). IBI is the intensive application of the science of ABA.

Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention program is an intensive 1:1 therapy with 20 to 40 hours per week of service that alternates with small group activities to help develop classroom skills and social skills. Children engage in activities that build relationships with peers and expose them to diverse social situations.

Each child’s intervention plans are custom designed to meet his or her needs.The goal is to foster students’ skills and learning at a critical stage in their development so they can meet their fullest potential by focusing on all developmental domains, including communication, social skills, pre-academics, adaptive skill, self-help skills, motor skills, and much more.

A key component of IBI/ABA services involves training parents to support their children in achieving their goals.

Program activities include:

  • Assessments and programming: VB-MAPP the Verbal Behaviour Milestones & Placement Program, or The Assessment of Basic Learning and Language Skills – revised (ABLLS-r), or Essential for Living (EFL)
  • Behavior intervention plan creation, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Social skills and play skills.
