Social Skills Groups

Making friends, playing games, and communicating with others is such an important part our lives. For children who struggle in these areas, our social skills groups provide the opportunity to play and learn alongside same-aged peers in a safe and nurturing environment.

We use a variety of empirically validated approaches to teach and strengthen skills needed to foster strong social skills. Individualized goals are embedded within group activities to help addresses each learner’s specific areas of need.

Groups are designed and overseen by our team of Board Certified Behaviour Analysts® (BCBAs®) and Board Certified assistant Behaviour Analysts® (BCaBAs®). We offer a variety of groups to learners of different ages, each tailored to meet the needs of the individuals within the group. Children participate in an engaging social curriculum with similarly aged peers to learn and develop important social skills.

Individual Treatment Plan goals are embedded into group activities to maximize generalization and maintenance of skills. We have built a variety of social skills groups to meet your child’s needs.

Social skills are taught using empirically proven methodologies, such as direct instruction, video modeling, video feedback, social stories, and role play in small group settings. We strive to foster independence and relationships with peers.
